Massage Therapy

I offer a full body approach to treatment, using a combination of Swedish massage, fascial techniques, joint mobilization, stretching, active movement, and trigger point therapy. It isn’t just muscles that need to be treated. The body’s fascia, joints, and bone alignment all need to function together. Something happening at the foot can have repercussions at the shoulders and neck. Everything is connected!

Rehab. Massage therapy is an excellent form of treatment to encourage faster healing from injury, and compliments other rehabilitation modalities such as physiotherapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, and osteopathy. Common conditions that massage therapy helps include: musculoskeletal injuries (strains, sprains, whiplash, TMJ dysfunction, SI joint dysfunctions), posture imbalances (scoliosis, IT band contractures, upper cross syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome), and overuse injuries (tendonitis, frozen shoulder, golfer’s elbow, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis). Massage therapy can also help alleviate headaches, sciatica, and scar tissue buildup, as well as increase a joint’s range of motion, reduce pain, and calming the nervous system.

Want something in between? Each treatment is tailored to the individual. You just need to let me know! Communication always remains open and is expected and encouraged (I mean empowerment to speak up about how your body is feeling during treatment, not non stop chatting - but that’s okay too)

Prenatal and Post Natal Treatments: Let me support you as your body changes, during and after your pregnancy! Prenatal treatments are offered in a side lying position. Postnatal treatments can include Csection scar work, diastasis recti work, and all the physical and mental pains that come with motherhood.

TMJD : Also offering intra-oral work to help with head, neck, and jaw tension.
